The curatorial addition serves as a center for scholarship and houses our archives in a fire-protected and climate-controlled environment.
Now used primarily for exhibits and events, the Sound School classroom reverts to its original role each spring. Under the careful gaze of “Mrs. Abbott,” today’s students relive history. When the bell tolls, they file into the classroom, read their lessons aloud, practice math on slate tablets, and study in the same space as some of their ancestors.
