February 7, 1980 Dearest Wee A beautiful day out - we had outdoor exercise, showers, washed our clothes. A chest set is how ours. My roomates [sic] beat me regularly, but I am improving (Haven't played in a long time.) I received a wonderful joint letter from the three older boys. They forrgot to date it, bur it referred To the Rev. Mr. Coffin and me on TV. Nothing from you since your December 20th, but keep writing. Some is bound to get through! Cut off all mail not from immediate family, as pet the phone message I am reading a variety of books, Bate's biography of Samuel Johnson, Farley Mowat's hauntingly beautiful "People of the Deer " about a dying Eskimo Tribe; Gibbon's Decline and Fall; the Bible. So my mind is active. And I know how competent you are, which is one worry I don't have. I love you very very much, All will come out all right, and we will be together again. M
