Letters to Louisa, Andrew, Duncan, Anna & Peter Kennedy from Mike Kennedy, March 30-April 16, 1980
March 30th lettter to Louisa: mentions letters he has recieved from family and comments on their news, letter from Anne Goodhue, the students setting up a lending library and the books he is reading, where they are getting books from via the mail, no signs of family food packages, food they are given is improving.
April 4 Letter to Louisa: The bulk of both letters talks about suggestions to give the landscaping company. He wishes Louisa a happy birthday, hopes they will be together for their 25 anniversary, offers imput on Phil's summer plans, hopes visiting clergy will return to the states with mail, wishes a happy Easter to everyone.
April 7th letter to Andrew: Comments on the meaning of Easter, talks about improvments to their living conditions, Mike says he will force himself to use some of the new exercise equipment, thoughts on how this experience has allowed him a lot of time for inner growth and self reflection.
April 7th letter to Louisa: writes about the Easter service put on by the visiting clergry, tells her he recieved her and Bob's notes from the Bishop, working on his book, talks about the books he is reading, asks her to tell Sheldon to make sure they are all written up properly.
Letter to Ann and Peter Kennedy: letting them know he is looking forward to the visit from the Clergy during Easter and hopes they will be taking mail back with them, mentions that the students are trying to provide them with more amusement and have started to show U.S. TV shows, he mentions his photo wall and the comments it gets from others.
Letter to Duncan: Priests and Ministers will be visiting over Easter and taking mail back with them, reminisce about spring in New England, mentions some of the food they are eating, comments on Duncans traveling over break and Mike's hopes of traveling once this is over, mentions book on the Spanish Civil War.
April 16 Letter to Louisa: Visit from the Red Cross, two-way message forms, Rick Kupke recieved three food boxes from home, Mike requests certain food to be sent, talks about books he is reading and also request thrillers be sent, he is working on his book with Rick Kupke and hopes Louisa is working on her chapters are going well, comments on his mood.
