The letter is written on the back of a torn off portion of a card. The card depicts woodland creatures around a manger with the text "Softly, softly seek the Child, all creatures great and small. Be you gentel, be you wild, His blessings to you all. "
The origional other half of the card is torn off. It is unknown if this was done by the sender or Louisa.
