Dorr and Mesa Verde Superintendent Jesse Nusbaum. I Ron Archives (31) have checked the correspondence files which are arranged by date in our Mesa Verde Archives, but I did not find any Dorr correspondence. We have other Jesse Nusbaum files which could be researched but that would be very time consuming. Through our ANCS+ data base, we can access file-level information by title of the file, but we can not access individual letters within a file. I am sorry I did not readily find the information you are requesting. If you should ever be in the Mesa Verde area, you are welcome to make an apppintment with the park curator. Nusbaum materials are located at the Laboratory of Anthropology in Santa Fe and in other locations outside of Mesa Verde. Dorr with Member Information whom Jesse Nusbaum, corresponded. Ron Archives (31) Though Dorr and Nusbaum had become well acquainted at the eighth Superintendents Conference in 1926 at Mesa Verde, I write to ask if there is any correspondence between Dorr and Nusbaum in your archives. I have before a copy of a letter at the Rockefeller Archive Center from Jesse Nusbaum to Mr. Dorr (January 19, 1942) congratulating Dorr on his plans for enlarging Acadia National Park. In that letter he refers to the common benefit they have derived from the generosity of Mr. Rockefeller, concluding with his warm regards to Dorr as "the patriarch of our Service."
