847 Evlogy by Cyrus Moulton Remembering Emily Roberts I met Emily on the first day that I came to Cranberry, two years ago this past July, on my site visit/ interview with the Island Institute. I never caught her name, she was just chatting with me and the other people from the Institute on the boat over to Islesford, but I remembered her when I came to live here in September as that lady who had been so enthusiastic and SO very interested in what I was coming to do on the Cranberry Isles. Today, I can't believe that I am here, sharing my memories of Emily. And, I must admit, I'm somewhat envious of all of you: for not only are you excused from trying to find a few words to describe somebody about whom I could never say enough, but SO many of you knew Emily for SO much longer than I. And Emily had SO much more to teach all of us. I have never met a person who was so dedicated to others in every aspect of her life. Helping other people did more than just make her happy once in a while, it was not a chore or an exercise I
