Junior Prom Queen At Teachers College MISS MARIT GJERPEN. New Britain, March 22.-(Spe- cial.) - -Marit Gjerpen of 30 Union Street, not even a student at the institution, became on Saturday the first queen of the junior prom at the Teachers College here and is the proud possessor of a gold-in- scribed locket as a token of the honor, Her selection was announced dur- ing the latter part of the promen- ade, early Saturday morning, after a group of college faculty members had chosen her for personality, ap- pearance poise and vivacity. She was escorted at the ball by Thomas McCue of this city. Chosen as her attendants, run- ners-up for the queenship in the opinion of the judges, were Doris Dayton of Torrington, Mary Marr of Livermore Falls, Me., Florence Miglioli of Kensington and Anas tazia Kurdyna of Hartford, all stu dents at the college.
