I understand that the Secretary of the Interior has fixed March 26th for the conference with Mr. Dorr and with the Chairmen of the Trails Com- mittees. I enclose a copy of a letter which I recently wrote to Loren Kimball. I regard the Jordan's Pond Valley as hopelessly spoiled but hope that the Bubble Pond Valley can be saved. For this reason I think the motor road had better skirt the eastern shore of Jordan's Pond and leave the wilderness intact between Pemetic and Green.
