Letter to the Hostage Families from Cheryl N. Kalp, March 18, 1980
This is a brief cover letter attached to the a rebuttal of Luzette Graves' letter to Bani-Sadr. Cheryl asks that if the family agrees with the rebuttal to let her know and she will sogn their names along with hers. The rebuttal letter states: Luzette Graves and her family do not speak for or represent all of the hostage families. The families did not know she was intending to contact Bani-Sadr until they received a copy of the letter in the mail. The undersigned abhor the taking of hostages. Back the actions taken by the United States Government in gaining the release of the hostages. Feel that the Human Rights of the hostages are being violated and fear for their health. Worried that no independant observer has been able to see all of the hostages. Ask that the Revolutionary Council to allow the International Red Cross to visit all the hostages and offer medical services. They also ask that letters from family members be handed out.
