Easter April 6 Dear Dunc We are told that some American priests and ministers will be spending Easter with us., and that they will carry some letters home. I sent you another letter last week, I hope that they both reach you. I envy you back in the New England spring - the first bits of warmth in the air, the first greenery. If you go on rowing, the whole life on the water is something you will never forget. Once again we had steak for lunch. As I wrote you earlier, when there isn't too much going on, you think a lot about food. The best thing we have is the bread, which we can toast ourselves. And the tea which comes 3 times a day is really good. Mom writes that you spent part of your holiday in Philadelphia and New York. You really seem to be getting around! When I get our it here, I'm going to spend a lot of time seeing people, and travelling around. In the mean time, I'm doing a lot of reading, including a history of The Spanish Civil was which was really horrible. There is a cruel streak in the Spanish character, which we saw sometimes in the Chilean, only not so much. The example of what happened in Spain was very real to Pinochet and the others, and the reason that they locked so many people up was to prevent the same thing from happening in Chile. See You,
