Mike relates to his son, Phil, that he has fond memories of the last summer and those memories always make him happy when they come to mind. Mike also relays that he is hopeful because he knows there are a lot of people pulling for them. He ends with a hopeful message about Phil's future.

The front reads "Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring....." The inside of the card has a thought bubble above Snoopy reading "My flea collar must be working"
