Praise is too faint a word. From the moment this crisis started, they have been on the phone to us, tireless in providing counsel, information, and above all a sense of profound personal concern. I cannot tell you how much it has meant in these days of deepening uncertainty and insanity. I don't know the names of all the people I have been in contact with, but two stand out in my mind. One is Mrs. Henry Precht, the wife of the head of the Iranian desk, and the other is Mrs. Moorhead Kennedy, whose husband is also a hostage. My wife and I are eternally grateful to them, to the others, and to the State Department for having been so alert to the needs of those of us waiting anxiously for news.
