Dem Was Kennedy
On Sunday evening when Mrs. Scott and I were looking
at the late evening TV news, you appeared as one of those
participating in the vigil in front of the Iranian Embassy.
Mrs. Scott remarked, when your name was flashed on the
screen, "That must be Anna Kennedy's daughter-in-law." "
Since then I have checked and determined that, in truth,
you are.
I now write to commend you on the forthright, courageous,
and, yes, quite heroic expression. You reflected in full the
substance of our American tradition. Listening to you, I
experienced the same feeling that I had during World War II
when I witnessed soldiers being decorated for valor. It is
a privilege to address a lady of such depth, understanding,
and fortitude.
By way of introduction, I am acquainted with your
parents through Alex and Susie Wheeler. Hope and Edgar,
and their sons, honor us by calling us "cousin." For some
years I have known and admired Mazie whom I know through
Alex. Edgar, Jr. gave me your address.
Our prayers are with you and yours. With sincere regard
and respect,
Cordially,
Informatt
