Kennedy III, Moorhead "Mike" Cowell
Mike’s family has been coming to Mount Desert Island since 1877.  During the winter of 1899-1900 the family’s summer home, Chiltern, was built in Bar Harbor. After Mike's retirement he and his wife Louisa built a home in 1997 at 13 Prays Meadow Road in Somesville, ME, and moved to Mount Desert Island. They named the new house Chiltern after Mike's family's Bar Harbor summer home. Mike continued his lecturing as an instructor at Acadia Senior College and was also active in various island-based nonprofits, such as Mount Desert Island Historical Society and Northeast Harbor Library.
