USS <em>Isabel</em>

Isabel was built in 1917 by Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, as a yacht for automobile manufacturer John North Willys of Toledo, Ohio. The vessel was acquired by the Navy before completion, converted to use as a “destroyer leader”…
