Dedication of the Peggy Rockefeller Farms.

David Rockefeller, Sr., donated Peggy Rockefeller Farms to COA in 2010. The farm and surrounding land make up the largest remaining area of historic farmland on the island, with most of the land being covered by wetlands and forests. The farm raided livestock such as grass-fed beef and pork, organic poultry and lamb, as well as Romney and Katahdin sheep. The farm also cultivates berries, fruits and vegetables, which grow alongside over 100 solar panels that generate electricity for the farm power grid. Peggy Rockefeller, similar to Beech Hill Farm, create opportunities for student work and learning; such as senior project involvement and work-study opportunities. The farm is named after David Rockefeller Sr.’s daughter.
