Your reply was so long delayed that we have taken up the matter of pumping this well with several other parties, and while we have as yet no tangible in- formation from them, would say that your proposition contained in this letter of July 21st. looks very good to us. You quote a 8 X 8 Compressor at $395 and an air tank at $55, we to furnish all necessary piping. Also note that you say a 4" pipe would be sufficient in diameter to properly do the work. Do you realize that this well undoubtedly has a yield of 150 gallons per minute with your 6" deep well pump working only 55 ft. below the ground level, and that it is the opinion of your Mr. Grant that if the deep well pump had been working at 130 to 150 ft. below the ground level that the well would give a steady yield of 200 gallons per minute or over. Therefore we would like to know from you if the equipment, which you recommend as above would be adequate to deliver 150 gallons per minute and even 200 gallons per minute if the supply is there. If you will kindly go on record in reply to these inquiries, letting us hear from you by return mail, we will be pleased to give the matter further and careful consideration. We were very greatly pleased with the manner in which your two men performed this work, attending strictly and constantly to their business in a very efficient manner, and only wish that we could fill up a knitting mill with 600 people who would work as hard and fast as these two men of yours have done on this job.
