Ivory inlay marks degrees. Three round lenses . green, red and one missing. Three square lenses. Stored in wood case with tow corks glued in place to secure octant. Closes with a hook. Has a lock but no key. Inside case label reads, “James Bassnett optician. 1 Robert St Northend Princes Dock, Liverpool. Donor info . belonged to Abraham Somes III.
