Gold leaf design in center of carved scroll. Painted black and gold. Marked 16. Said to be for a trading schooner built in a Somesville shipyard. Was found in Jonathan Hamor’s Store. This store once belonged to Allie Somes (probably John Allen Somes) son of John W. Somes, who owned the shipyard.
