Bartlett Island, Blue Hill Bay, Mount Desert, Hancock County, ME

A proposal to change the name Bartlett Island to Bartletts Island was submitted in November 2002; in August 2004, the proposal was rejected by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN) decision was made in agreement with the findings of local government and the Maine Board on Geographic Names.
