Traces exist from Lakewood to and around Fawn Pond. At the outlet of Lakewood are the remnants of the Kane and Bridgham granite block bridge. Nearby is a bronze plaque set in a boulder, "In memory of Annie Cottenet Kane & Fanny Schermerhorn Bridgham…" Also nearby are the remnants of a CCC bathhouse. A trail leads along the northern side of the late to Fawn Pond. There is a bronze plaque located on a ledge beside Fawn Pond, "This tablet commemorates the gift by Charles T. How of the Fawn Pond…" Paths are all 1-2 feet wide. Social trails between the ponds obscure late 1890s to 1902 route. Much of the route may be underwater due to the rise in water level caused by beavers. A ten feet wide abandoned road section, used infrequently, may follow part of original route based on existing maps, leading east from the upper end of Lakewood, then splits to meet the abandoned Breakneck Road and Lakewood Road. There are no other known features. Locals frequent the area between Lakewood and Fawn Pond. There is also a trail on the southern side of Lakewood, but it appears to be recently cut and marked, but not by NPS. This area is all forested and would have burned in 1947. CJ, GS, KJ, MB
