From Lake to Sea: Winter Habitations of Common Loons
The Common Loon (Gavia immer) has historically been used as an indicator species during it's summer breeding season. More specifically, loons have been used as an indicator for heavy metals, biocontamination, and acidity (Canadian Lakes Loon Survey). This project is in ESRI GIS Story Map format.
