The Essex Almanack

The Essex Almanack, For the Year of our Lord CHRIST, 1771. Being the third after Bessextile, or Leap-Year, Calculated for the Meridian of Salem, in New-England, Lat. 42 D. 35 M. North. By Philo Freeman. Salem: Printed and fold by Samuel Hall, in the main Street. 22 pages printed. There is a separate 20 page handwritten sermon by Reverend Samuel Eaton. The handwritten portion is 4 sheets 6 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches and 1 page in center 4 x 6 inches. All folded into a booklet about 4 x 6 inches. This portion has become separated from the printed part, and it would seem that they did not go together, but they apparently are one item. See letter of F. O'Brien to N.K.C. dated Apr. 25, 1978.
