Reservations from Rockefeller
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That I, John D. Rockefeller,
Jr., of the City, County and State of New York, in consideration
of the sum of one dollar and other valuable considerations, paid
by Hancock County Trustees of Public Reservations, a corporation
organized under the law of the State of Maine, and established
at Bar Harbor, Hancock County, Maine, the receipt where of I do
hereby acknowledge, do hereby remise, release, bargain, sell and
convey, and forever quitclaim unto the said Hancock County
Trus tees of Public Reservations, its successors and assigns for-
ever, the following described premises, to wit, a certain lot
or parcel of land situated in the Town of Mount Desert, Hancock
County, Maine, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at 8 oedar stump on the east side of the old
county road on south line of land formerly owned by John Clark:
thence following said road southerly to 8 flat ledge, to land
now or formerly owned by Benjamin Gilley, about two hundred
forty rods: thence eastarly by land now or formerly owned by
Benjamin Gilley and Messrs. Fernald to land owned (now or form-
erly) by Henry H. Clark: thence following the course of the
mountain in E northeasterly direction by land now or formerly
owned by Henry H. Clark to Dennings Pond, 80 called: the nce
following the shore of said pond to thelsoutheastern corner of
land formerly owned by John Clark: thence westerly on line of
said land to the first mentioned bound, containing one hundred
acres, more or less.
Expressly excepting and reserving from the above described
premises the following lots or parcels of land previously convey-
ed by deeds of record in the Registry of Deeds for Hancock
County, to wit:

438, and described in said deed as follows:

Mount Desert, at Beech Hill, so called, to be used for the pur-
pose of a family burying ground and for no other purpose, bound-
ed and described as follows, to wit:
Beginning at a stone pont in the line between Reuben W.
Carter's home lot and my own, about twenty-five rods from the
road leading from Beech Hill to Southwest Harbor, and running
southerly three rods to a stone post } thence easterly four rods

Meaning and intending hereby to convey the same premises
described as conveyed in the deed from George L. Stebbins to me,
the said John D. Rock@feller, Jr. dated October 14, 1914, and
to be recorded in the Hancock County, Kaine, Registry of Deads.
The consideration for this deed is less than one hundred
dollars.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same, together with all the privi-
