Dear Mr. Lynam:
From correspondence with the
Assessors about other matters, I learn incidentally
that they have been taxing me on my one-third un-
divided interest in the lot on the County Road, which
I am conveying to the Wild Gardens of Arcadia.
The one-third interest is taxed at
$15. and the tax for the year 1920 is 58€ which I
am paying.
Under these circumstances, I think
it would be a good plan to put on record at once the
deed from me to the Wild Gardens.
Yours very truly,
Richard w. Hale

Dear Mr. Lynam:
Mr. Hale did acknowledge the deed to
the Wild Gardens of Acadia, but it escaped into
our mailing department through the wrong channels,
and I therefore did not sign. I return it herewith
dated and acknowledged.
Yours very truly,
Olive L. Sanger

Dear George:
As the sole devisee of Elisha
Hadley, I acquired a one-third interest in one and
three-quarters acres of land on the East side of
the County Road at Otter Creek.
I never saw it, or heard of it, or
paid taxes on it.
Herewith enclosed is a deed from me
*
to the Hancock County Trustees of Public Reservations
of all my interest in this parcel. I believe it to
be worthless. I do not think it has ever been sold
for taxes or taxes ever claimed on it. I claim no
credit for the gift.
I only submit that it is better that
this sort of an odd interest should belong to the
public reservations, rather than an individual.
Yours very truly,
Richubble
