Dear Ms. Goetz:
I recently contacted Professor James Leamon to determine whether he could provide me with
your current email address, to which he warmly agreed (see below).
As you can see from my original message, my research into George B. Dorr has led me to
your thesis at the Ladd Library. I'll be journeying there in a few weeks to examine it--
with special attention to its biblioigraphic overlap with my research.
Contacting you at this time is for the purpose of determining whether you would be open to
discussion of its content and bibliographic apparatus this summer at a time of mutual
convenience. I plan on making several May and June trips to the Harvard Archives where
there are significant resources on Mr. Dorr (Class of 1874) and his involvements with
President Eliot and William James through the first two decades of the 20th century.
With best wishes,
Ronald H. Epp, Ph.D.

Dear Prof. Epp,
This must be brief since my computer is in its intermittant phase.
Rebecca Goetz is a PhD candidate in history at Harvard. Her address there is:
rgoetz@fas.harvard.edu I have forwarded to her the e-mail you sent to me, so
she will have some idea of your interests. Good luck.
Regards,
James S. Leamon, Prof. Emeritus
