All proceeds from this event will help build Cranberry House, a permanent Historical Museum and Cultural Center on Great Cranberry Island, Maine. Financed by grants, private donations, and local fund raising efforts, Cranberry House is a multi-year project of the Great Cranberry Island Historical Society. In 2004, we bought a historically-significant 1920s-era building and moved it onto a new foundation on a donated 2-acre site. Great Cranberry Island In 2005 we refurbished the exterior. In 2006 and beyond, we will Historical Society's refurbish the building to house an island museum on the ground floor. Upstairs, a large multi-purpose room will host theatrical and Exhibit, Silent Auction, & musical performances, movies, crafts classes, and workshops. Outside, the front café deck will double as an outdoor stage for Fashion Show special events.
