HORSE ATE AT TABLE WITH FAMILY BIG CRANBERRY ISLAND, Nov. 30 -Captain Enoch Stanley of Big Cran- berry Island relates the following in- wresting story about a horse once owned by him and greatly prized as a household pet: This was a very clever horse and it was allowed to roam about the door- yard at its own sweet will. It was a regular pet and if the doors were left open the horse would walk right into the house the same as any mem- ber of the family. One day a stran- ger was there to dinner when in came that horse and walked right into the kitchen where the family was assembled and, reaching over the table, grabbed a hot biscuit from the bread plate and ate it, and would have cleaned the table from all food on it if he hadn't been driven out. The skipper said the horse was very fond of hot bis- cuits and would always visit the kitchen at noon and beg for one and if the door was open would come in and help himself. It seems the floor must have been anusually strong in that house
