This is a letter sent by Penne Laingen to all FLAG members. This letter contains an excerpt from Dick Stratton's letter to Penne Laingen where he addresses the need for FLAG to stay apolitical and make suggestions to the American people about what they can do to support the hostages to keep opportunists from profiting on the hostage crisis.  Penne also includes with her letter a copy of the article written by Alice Stratton on her experience as the wife of a Prisioner of War held captive in Viet Nam. The article includes reactions of the Prisioner of War catpives as well.

The Penne Laingen letter is one page single spaced typed on FLAG Bulletin stationary. The article is 4 pages, double sided and highlighted in yellow by Louisa Kennedy. The envelope is a standard buissness sized FLAG stationary envelope.
