Letter to Louisa Kennedy from Mike Kenned, March
March
Dearest Wee
A pile of mail has just arrived, very recent in
origin, One from you, re your trip to Florida, and
dated January 22 ! Your writing is exceptionally clean,
and I'm sure that that will make of difference to
the students who have to monitor the mail. Also
from Mum (January 19), Duncan (undated), Pop (the
"Life" spread with you all and Dr. Coffin), Dicky and Diana, Mark, and
a pile of photographs from you, Marvelous day! You
all look very well indeed
We just had a visit from Monsignor Nolan, of the
Pontifical Mission to Palestine, and Archbishop Cappuchi, the
Orthodox (or Greek catholic) Bishop, Palestinian and well known, which was
encouraging. You may see me once again on TV!
How nice it is to hear personally what we know anyway,
that world public opinion is concerned over us. They
said that they were reporting back to the Pope. It's
nice to be famous, but it has drawbacks!
I gather from Mum that Coffin got through to
you at Christmas. How marvelous. One of my major
concerns was lest all this spoil your holiday
unduly. Apparently, no letters were received until after
January 17th. I hope that correspondence will be

more regular from now on.
I have the first batch of pictures sent to
me on my wall, and have added the spread of you
with Dr. Coffin. The picture sent by Philip of me and
the boys outside the Church in Northeast has made
an excellent impression on the students. Their very
deep faith is impressive), As I wrote to you earlier, I
have 2 Bibles. They have promised me a Koran.
Much Love
M
