Jan 12th Dear Louisa, I saw you on TV in France a couple of nights ago. It made me realize I haven't heard from you. I've tried to call several times. I understand now why you are so busy. This has to be a very difficult time for you. We constantly wonder if what is being done to secure the hostages release is right or enough. Ann Binderman called from Florida when she thought she saw Mike on TV. Lynn Robinson called from New Orleans when she saw you on the Barbara Walters show. Both were shocked. Unfortunately, I did not see you on the Barbara Walters show, I wish I had. You are making a supreme effort, Louisa, I admire you in all respects. I wonder if I have your back bone. We are still in Syracuse because Jack quit his job in August. He has not worked since then (but we are still getting paid not about to starve). He is job hunting. I think he will decide on something soon. We may stay right here and we may move on. Everybody is finally adjust- ing to the American way of life I hope we get the opportunity to adjust to other ways of life, also (not the middle east at the moment). Are thoughts are with you everyday, Louisa. We are still hoping for a peaceful and swift solution to the situation in Iran. Keep fighting. Love,
