Roaches Run Waterfowl Sanctuary is an area on the shore of the Potomic River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport that is managed by the National Park Service (NPS) as part of the George Washington Memorial Parkway. The sanctuary's name comes from a creek named after a 19th-century businessman named James Roach, whose property included the land. The NPS has undertaken restoration projects at Roaches Run, including habitat enhancement after a mineral oil spill and efforts to improve visitor access and infrastructure.
