The Diana Davis Spencer Hatchery provides academic credit for the development of nonprofit and for-profit businesses. Eligible students gain access to seed funding and professional support services, while they are still at the undergraduate level. This is an incredibly unique program and opportunity for students, setting them up to graduate with a business already prototyped, tested and ready to launch. COA believes in the power of education to make a real impact in the world, and the Hatchery is one way this kind of change-making is facilitated. The Hatchery is named after the philanthropist Diana Davis Spencer, and was dedicated in 2015. The program was founded with the support of Henry and Peggy Sharpe and Jay McNally.
