Note: 04/26/2018 . Mount Desert Island High School was not an entity until 1965. Prior to that time, students attended high school at Gilman(later called Mount Desert High School), Pemetic, or Bar Harbor High Schools. Not know which school this plaque was attached to. Or, it may be that this is a listing of residents of the town of Mount Desert who were valedictorians or salutatorians. More research needed.
