China Pitcher

From collection Mount Desert Island Historical Society - Objects Collection

China Pitcher

This small pitcher measures 2 and one half inches high. It looks like it was for a single serving of cream. It is inscribed with the letter "k" and is marked on the bottom with the date "1929", as well as, the words "The Bailey.Walker vitrified china". There is a wider gold band around the top, on the handle, and a thinner band around the bottom. (see picture) This is thought to be a creamer used in the dining room at the Kimball House, Northeast Harbor hotel. See relations tab for same object.
