Perlinsky, Kaufman, and Mourkas Contract Cancellation Legal Notice, November 21, 1938
WHEREAS of the fourteenth day of November A. D. 1934,
Mark Perlinsky of Bar Harbor, County of Hancock, State of
Maine, and Angela C. Kaufman of New York, County and State
of New York, and Thomas M. Mourkas of Bangor, County of
Penobscot, State of Maine, entered into a certain indenture
of lease whereby a certain lot or parcel of land with the
buildings thereon, known as the Perlinsky Block, and situated
on the Western side of Main Street in said Bar Harbor, and
bounded on the East by Main Street; on the South by the West
End Drug Company; on the West by Rodick Realty Company, or
a right of way; and on the North by Harmon Piano Company;
was leased to the said Kaufman and Mourkas for the period of
ten years, which said indenture of lease is recorded in the
Hancock County, Maine, Registry of Deeds, in Book 649, Pages
23, 24 and 25; and whereas, on the twenty-sixth day of July
A. D. 1935 by memorandum of agreement by and between the said
Angela C. Kaufman and Mark Perlinsky and Thomas Mourkas the
said Thomas Mourkas was released and discharged from any
liability arising under said indenture of lease, which said
memorandum of agreement is recorded in said Registry of Deeds
in Book 649, Page 424; and whereas the said Angela C. Kaufman
and Mark Perlinsky now desire by mutual agreement to cancel
said indenture of lease.
Now therefore, this agreement made in duplicate, by and
between the said Angela C. Kaufman and Mark Perlinsky,
witnesseth; that for, and in consideration of, one dollar and
other valuable considerations, each in hand paid to the other,
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties do
hereby cancel said indenture of lease, and do hereby for them-
selves, their heirs, executors and assigns, forever discharge
each from the other and from all the terms, conditions and
