10. BAR HARBOR, MAINE Agreement of Lease May 15th 1935. I, Miss Mildred Morrison, of Bar Harbor, agree to lease to (Mrs) Angela C. Kaufman the two upper floors of the building known as the Arcadia Hotel, Maine St. Starting June 1st 1935, expiring Oct 15th 1935. Terms of payment are as follows: (Mrs) Angela C. Kaufman agrees to pay in advance (4) four weeks rent at the rate of $71.00 per week, the amount of this sum being $284.00. Payments after that (May 28th 1935) will be weekly at the rate of $71.00. Deducting from the weekly payments a certain part of the monies to be expended by Miss Mildred Morrison, for installing elec. water heater. Payments on said expenditure to be deducted weekly, till said sum is fully paid. In accordance to verbal agreement between the parties, Miss Mildred Morrison agreed to paint face of building, iron railings, front doors, etc. as an improvement to her property and for comfort and good will of tenant.
