8. MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT Entered into the 6th day of July 1936, between Angela C. Kaufman sponsor and owner of Ivan E. Cedar Productions party of the first part and represented by Ivan E Cedar as agent and representative of Angela C. Kaufman, and C. J. Russell Sr. Hgr. of the Bijou Theatre, Bangor, party of the second part. Whereby it is ruitually agreed that the party of the first part engages to play the Ivan E. Cedar Productions at the Bijou Theatre, Bangor Me. Monday and Tuesday evenings July 13-14 with matinee July 14 and every Monday and Tuesday with Tuesday matinee weekly thereafter for a period of seven (7) weeks beginning July 13 1936 Said party of the first part agrees to furnish first class companies, pay all royalities, furnish seenic artist and salary of same. To furnish complete scenic productions for e very play, to pay one half salary of stage hands and all material and expense, and labor incurred in building said productions, to furnish all outside advertising material and to pay one half of all newspaper, radio and advertising of like mates nature. Party of the second part agrees to furnish the Bijou Theatre properly lighted, cleaned, heated and licensed, also suffi- cient current for electrical effects, also all electrical equipment effects now in the theatre, and to furnish all house attachees ex- cept one half the salary of the S tage hands, also to furnish tickets, programmes, and pay for billing of all outdoor advertising. It is further mutually agreed that party of the first part shall receive fifty (50%) per cent of not receipts, and party of the second part shall receive fifty (50%) DOS cont of net receipts. Settlement to be made at termination of each production from Box Office Statement furnished by the cashier, as agreed by both parties. It is further mutually agreed that this contract can be terminated by either party giving to the other party a two weeks notice of closing in writing on any Saturday.
