Glass negative taken at Mount Desert Rock, August 1908. View shows two men, standing on the granite ledges behind a building, with the ocean visible behind them. On the ledges in the foreground, the shadows of two people are visible, one of whom is the photographer. From the envelope the identities of these two men are known: Mr. Dorgan and Mr. Brewer, likely men employed by the lighthouse service to tend to matters at Maine's light stations.
