ROBERT G. FERNALD MT. DESERT - Robert G. Fernald died unexpectedly March 23 at LaPlata. Md., while enroute home from Florida where he and Mrs. Fernald had been on vacation. Surviving are his wife. Norma Crosby Fernald: two sons, William and Thomas: two brothers, Abraham Jr.. and John, all of Mt. Desert: three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Hart of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Eleanor Zimmermann, Lafayette, N.J., and Mrs. Elizabeth Atwood, Newington, Conn.; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Somesville Union Meeting House, Mt. Desert. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery Friends may call at the Fernald Funeral Chapel. Mt. Desert. Monday from 7-8 p.m. Those who wish may contribute in his memory to the Somesville Union Meeting House, Mt. Desert, or to the Maine Seacoast Mission, Bar Harbor.
