North/Middle Bubble Cliff Trail Acadia National Park, Hancock County, ME
On the west side of North Bubble, this 1929 trail has some remnant pinned logs, some steps, and possibly one rung. Trail was little more than 1-2 feet wide. North and south ends are gone - the middle section has the features. The trail gains little elevation as it traverses very open steep ledges (few trees, not big ones). Little use in spite of fine views, exciting and daring route, and popular summit. Various excellent 1950s photos exist of large hiking groups using this trail. CJ,GS,KJ
