This summit path starts in a wooded area off of Otter Creek Road on soil-based tread and begins to wind through small but steep granite boulder fields and across wide, sloping ledges. Some cairns are historic, but definite traces of old route difficult to determine. Trail becomes wooded again enteriing notch between Huguenot Head and Champlain Mountain – for most of this last section path is over rock rubble and organic debris. SB
