Green and Black Path Acadia National Park, Hancock County, ME
A lightly used unmarked trail from Route 3 to the bowl, which is easier to locate where it branches west from the Bear Brook Trail (#10) north of Bowl outlet. Goodrich suspects that after trails were restored after fire, the Bear Brook Trail (#10) was rerouted over the first 100 yards of the Green & Black Trail and then east to its original route. Cairns still exist at top and with some difficulty trail can be followed down to Route 3 just opposite entrance to Canon Brook Trail (#19). The route is also marked with painted metal tags stuck into trees. It is easy to follow at its upper end due to markers and steps. DG, SB, MB
