First example: "I Nathan Ellis, Clerk of the Town of Bluehill, do hereby certify to whom it may concern, that intentions of Marriage between Moses P. Clough and Sarah P. Dodge, both of said Town of Bluhill, have been posted up by me fourteen days in a public place in said town, as by law required. Given under my hand this twenty fourth day of December 1831.
