Rockefeller, Jr. has been delayed because of his continued absence and the impossibility until now of securing his views on the subject which you present. Mr. Rockefeller is warmly interested in the Lafayette Park in the Southwest Harbor region as elsewhere, but he feels that land acquisition in that section of the Island should remain with the Committee of Southwest Harbor residents and summer residents who have hitherto had charge of it.
