Orange and the Black (Princeton)
ORANGE AND THE BLACK
Although Yale has always favored
The violets dark blue,
And the gentle sons of Harvard
To the crimson rose are true.
We will hold the lilies splendor
No honor shall we lack,
As the Tiger stands defender
Of the Orange and the Black,
Through the four long years of High School
Mid the scenes we love SO well
And the mystic charms of knowledge
We vainly seek to spell.
We will win athletic victories
On football, field or track
And we'll fight for dear old High School
And the Orange and the Black.
When the cares of life o'er take us,
Mingling fast our locks with gray
Should our dearest hopes betray us
False fortunes pass away.
We will banish cares and sadness,
And we turn our memories back
And recall those days of gladness.
Neath the Orange and the Black.
